AARP exec takes top job at AeA

Christopher W. Hansen, a senior executive with AARP, will become the next CEO of the American Electronics Association, according to the organization this week. Hansen will succeed William T. Archey, who is retiring this year from the trade group after 13 years at the helm. Hansen will officially start the job in November. A team of search executives, led by Nels Olson at Korn/Ferry Internationals Washington office conducted the search. Hansen is currently Group Executive Officer for AARP, where he manages the associations 53 offices and 600-plus staff nationwide.
